Holiday Exchange & Return Policy
At Maker House Co., we want you to be confident in your holiday shopping. Please review the following seasonal guidelines for returns and exchanges.
Store Locations
In-Store Purchases — Orléans

Eligible regular-priced merchandise in unused, unworn, and unwashed condition, with original tags, labels, or packaging, may be returned until January 31st, 2026 for an exchange or refund.

Returns and exchanges can be made at either the Orléans or Hintonburg location, until the Orléans location closes for the season. After which returns can be made in our Hintonburg location.
In-Store & Local Pickup Purchases — Hintonburg
Online Pickup Orders — Not Collected

Online pickup orders not collected within 3 weeks will be refunded, with a 25% restocking fee applied to eligible items to cover staff time.

Ineligible items (e.g. dated items, perishable goods) will not be refunded as they cannot be resold.
Online Shipping Purchases

Eligible regular-priced merchandise in original condition may be returned by January 31st, 2026 for exchange or store credit only (no refunds).

Returns must be made to the Hintonburg location.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Maker House Co. is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments; we recommend using a trackable shipping method with insurance.

Maker House Co. will cover the shipping cost of the replacement order to the same address as the original order.

Local Delivery Purchases

Eligible regular-priced merchandise in original condition may be returned by January 31st, 2026 for an exchange or refund (to the original purchaser).

Customers are responsible for return delivery costs. Maker House Co. will cover the delivery cost for the replacement order.

Final Sale Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

Dated items (e.g. calendars, ornaments)

Perishable items (e.g. food, plants)

Pre-made gift boxes

Earrings (for hygienic reasons)

Discounted or sale items

Custom furniture

Bulk orders or back orders of items not normally stocked in-store
Refunds & Gift Returns

Refunds can only be issued to the original purchaser using the original payment method (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, Debit, or Cash).

Gift recipients may receive an exchange or store credit, but not a refund.

Proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges. This can be your emailed receipt or your order number.

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days once the item is received and inspected.
Damaged or Defective Items
If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. We require:
We will review your claim and, at our discretion, arrange for a repair, replacement, exchange, or refund, and follow up with the courier company if applicable.
